Aloha All!

Summer is upon us, and with it comes much travel for me again.  Here is a quick update of workshops and events from July onwards.  I look forward to playing Qigong with you somewhere during my travels, whether at the National Qigong Association Conference near the end of July, on our China Qigong Study Trip in September, or the USA Teacher Training for Radiant Lotus Women’s Qigong this November.  See you in the Qi field! :)

July 2013 – Canada / US

Sunday, July 7, 10 am to 5 pm – TORONTO:  The Lotus & The Lion – Daisy collaborates with Sigong Rupert Harvey in a full day of Kung Fu and Qigong in Toronto’s Chinatown.  Join 2 Qi-ful instructors in an all-day extravaganza. Saturday, August 3, 9 am – 5 pm:  LEIDSCHENDAM, NETHERLANDSTiger Qigong with Francisco Mena.  The Tiger is the first of the Five Animal Qigong. Sunday, August 4, 9 am – 5 pm:  LEIDSCHENDAM, NETHERLANDSRadiant Lotus Women’s Qigong with Daisy.  Sometimes women need a private forum to do “women’s work”, or should we say, “women’s play” since this is Qigong, after all. In this women’s circle, Daisy will share an age-old system of healing for women’s health that comes from China, Tibet and the West. Friday, August 23, 6-7 pm:  WARSAW, POLAND – Asian Arts Museum (open to public).  Lecture: Qigong as a Pathway for Change shares the practical nature of Qigong and how it can be used as a tool for personal transformation and self-healing. To register, please email Maciej at magura13@wp.pl.

Saturday, August 24, 9 am – 12 pm:  WARSAW, POLAND - Qigong Nutrition for Optimum Health. Food is medicine and if we knew that the “medicine” was in our own back yards or in our cupboards, we would be able to support our body’s natural healing ability without the sometimes dire effects caused by poor food choices and over-the-counter medications .  Daisy teaches students both the ‘what to’ and ‘how to’ of eating for health.  The program helps to cleanse the body of toxins while super-charging the immune system using quick and easy recipes, tonics and herbs.  To register, please email Roman at fierfas@gmail.com.

Saturday, August 24, 1 -4 pm: WARSAW, POLAND - Qigong for Cleansing & Rejuvenation.  The human body is a precious gift and to honor this gift, we must learn how to take care of its form and function.  Certain exercises in China called Zhang Fu Gong or Organ Cleansing Qigong are used to detox the physical organs as well as dissolve stressful emotions that may be captured within the organs, interrupting the smooth flow of Qi throughout the body.   When the body is purged of toxins and strengthened through these gentle, mindful exercises, its natural wisdom will lead vital energy with ease and grace, maximizing your life force for optimum health.  To register, please email Roman at fierfas@gmail.com.

Sunday, August 25,  1 – 4 pm:  WARSAW, POLAND -911 Qigong” for Emergency Stress Relief. We all face stress, but when it becomes chronic, the body will  eventually find a way to put on the brakes by giving you an acute signal so you stop whatever it is you are doing to hurt it.  The skillful practitioner learns to recognize when  to let go of what no longer serves his or her highest good, yet is able to maintain a compassionate view.  By accepting ‘what is’, we can surrender the ego while taking up personal responsibility.  How do we recognize the signs of stress and  better care for ourselves and others?  You will learn “911″ emergency Qigong techniques to discharge emotional stress and retrieve your body’s  natural wisdom to support health and healing.  To register, please email Roman at fierfas@gmail.com.

September 15 – 30:  BEIJING & HUNAN, CHINA - 16th annual Qigong Study Trip to China. Francesco Garripoli and Daisy co-lead another Qigong intensive into the sacred sites of China, supported by their master teacher, Master Wan Sujian.  This is our 16th year of leading these sacred journeys and one cannot help but be transformed by the love and care that we are welcomed with by Master Wan and his disciples.  The profits from this trip support the Datong Orphanage from Master Wan’s birth place where unwanted children born with tumors or bodily anomalies are given up for adoption.  For more information or to register, email Francesco at francesco@wujitech.com

November 2013 – US

November 4 – 10:  HONOLULU, OAHU, USA -  American Radiant Lotus Women’s Qigong Teacher Training 2013.  This is the only RLWQ Teacher Certification in the USA this year.  For 7 days, a circle of women will gather to learn the techniques that have helped hundreds of women in 4 continents to heal themselves and to share this work with other women. You may come for self-healing only, or, if you quality, for teacher certification.  All participants are encouraged to follow up with the 100-days of home practice, but those who are coming for certification are required to do a group presentation on the 7th day, and to write an online exam at the end of 3 months.  Join us in an environment of aloha as you learn the methods and  exercises that have helped women  from around the world to empower their personal health and healing.  To learn more, please email info@radiantlotusqigong.com.
