Asia Study Trips

When you go on one of our Qigong study trips to Asia, you are in for a special treat!  These trips combine the best of many worlds – cultural exchange, intensive study with distinguished masters in their native tradition, a life-transforming healing vacation, and friendships and memories to last a lifetime!

These trips also contribute to the work we do through our non-profit, Kahuna Valley and can be partially written off as a tax-deductible donation to support our youth and family programs on the Hawaiian island of Kaua’i.  To learn more, please visit www.KahunaValley.org

This year, Daisy and teaching partner, Francesco Garripoli, will be hosting two study trips to Asia:

Thailand:  April 18-May 4, 2010

This trip takes us on a healing journey to a magical land that is filled with as much aloha as Hawaii…but with the warmth and gentleness that is typical of the Thai people!  You will not want to miss this spectacular Qigong study trip. Through our connection with a first-class facility in Chiang Mai, we are able to procure the ultimate in transformative therapies while Francesco and I teach Qigong in between the healing treatments offered.

China:  September 16-30, 2010

This is Daisy and Francesco’s 13th annual Qigong study tour to China and promises to be another exciting adventure in healing as well as gastronomic pleasures!  (At least, that is what many of our travelers insist is a “must-feature” in our promos!)

Our first week will be spent in Beijing at our teacher, Master Wan Su Jian’s Qigong clinic and cultural exchange center.  This master was featured in our PBS-TV Qigong documentary, “Qigong – Ancient Chinese Healing for the 21st Century” and is renown for his multi-person approach to healing where more than one practitioner works on a single patient.  Herbal foot baths and massages, Qigong massage treatments and training in meditation and Qigong healing methods are par the course when we’re at Master Wan’s clinic.

Master Wan is also well-known for his work with the Datong Orphanage where he and his team offer free treatments to children with tumors and brain injuries.  In fact, our trips support the work that he does at the orphanage so that the Medical Qigong team can visit and give free regular treatments to the children and foster families there.

Our second week of the trip is spent in a secluded, sacred mountain retreat practicing Qigong self-healing and rejuvenation techniques. Though we will also go into town and explore the wonders of the area (and yes, shopping in China is a must!)…the focus is on learning Qigong and bringing your practice home.

We look forward to supporting you on these healing journeys and sharing with you a little taste of what makes Asia so special to us!
